Description
Starch solution is often used an indicator reagent in redox titrations, where it turns blue in the presence of an oxidizing agent and colorless with exposure to a reducing agent.
This starch solution is prepared by triturating 1.0g soluble starch with 5mL water and then stirring the mixture into 100mL boiling water containing 10mg mercuric iodide.
